Tooth Extractions

We always try to save a tooth wherever possible. However, if your tooth has a large cavity, severe gum disease or you have had a dental trauma that has rendered the tooth unrepairable, the tooth may need to be extracted.

If a tooth needs to be removed there are several things that can be done to replace it; denture, bridge or implant. 

Dental extractions always take place under a local anesthetic with the area completely numb. Your dentist will not continue if you are in pain and will always provide you with enough anaesthetic to make the procedure as comfortable as possible.
